Our Commitment to Healthy Puppies

Before leaving for their new homes, every puppy receives:

  • A complete veterinary health examination
  • Age‑appropriate vaccinations
  • Routine deworming
  • Careful monitoring during early growth and development

Puppies are only released once they are healthy, properly weaned, and ready to transition safely to their new families.

3‑Day Health Check Requirement

Buyers must have their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three (3) days of pickup or delivery.This initial check ensures your puppy arrived in good health and allows your veterinarian to establish care right away. If a serious health concern is identified during this period, you must notify us immediately and provide written documentation from your veterinarian.Failure to complete this veterinary examination within the 3 day period may void this health guarantee.

1‑Year Genetic Health Guarantee

House of Goldens guarantees that your puppy is free from serious hereditary or congenital health conditions for a period of one (1) year from the date the puppy is received.This guarantee applies to genetic conditions that significantly affect the puppy’s quality of life or normal function, as diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian.If a qualifying hereditary condition is confirmed within the one‑year period, we will work with the buyer to provide one of the following:

  • A replacement puppy from a future available litter, or
  • Another mutually agreed solution at the breeder’s discretion.

Buyer Responsibilities

To keep this health guarantee valid, buyers agree to:

  • Provide proper nutrition and routine veterinary care
  • Keep vaccinations and preventative care up to date
  • Maintain the puppy in a safe and humane living environment
  • Avoid activities that may cause preventable injury to a young puppy

Proper care plays an important role in your puppy’s long‑term health and development.

What Is Not Covered

This health guarantee does not cover:

  • Minor or non‑life‑threatening conditions
  • Illness or injury caused by accidents, neglect, or improper care
  • Parasites or common infections after the puppy leaves our care
  • Health issues related to diet, environment, or lack of veterinary care
  • Cosmetic or non‑genetic conditions

While we carefully plan our breeding program, no breeder can guarantee a dog will never experience health issues unrelated to genetics.

Veterinary Documentation

Any health concern must be confirmed by a licensed veterinarian. House of Goldens may request:

  • Veterinary medical records
  • Diagnostic test results
  • A second veterinary opinion when necessary

This helps ensure all claims are reviewed fairly and accurately.
